Cahersiveen is a lovely town. It is an ideal setting for our Roots weekend as venues are all close to each other, parking and accommodation are nearby and the town has a lot of areas of interest, outdoor activities and adjacent to many beaches and walks. See links in pages to help you access amenities and see what Cahersiveen has to offer. You can also find links to find out about musicians who have and are visiting us. We have also added a sponsor page for our returning year, should you like to help us out.  Ní neart go cur le Chéile

Beyond the Railway bridge is the Town bridge which carries us to " Over The Water" and indeed that is the name of the place. Take a short drive or leisurely walk and you can visit the forts of Cahergal and Leachnabuaile, see Ballycarbery Castle and visit the strand and harbours at The White Strand, Béal Trá , Cuas Crom and Coonanna, that offer safe bathing facilities and have been engaged historically to launch the trans Atlantic Cable. Visit the Pilgrim path up Cnoc na dTobar and enjoy the many walks that offer spectacular views over Valentia Harbour and Dingle bay. For those of you who wish to travel to us by sea, Cahersiveen Marina lies beyond that second bridge and is an excellent facility for visiting mariners.
